Our vision expresses what we are working toward:
FSJPL works to connect, inspire, empower, and collaborate;
We CONNECT people with each other, to their community, and to the world at large.
We INSPIRE exploration, innovation, and imagination.
We EMPOWER people with resources, knowledge, and literacy in all its forms.
We COLLABORATE with our customers, each other, and our community.
The Fort St. John Public Library is a community cornerstone, providing a variety of information and support for lifelong learning in a welcoming, entertaining and safe environment. The library hosts creative, community-oriented programs and provides friendly information services.
The FSJPL is a Library Association and is governed by Part 4 of the Library Act. Library Associations receive no direct tax support and operate on grants and fundraising.
The FSJPL charges fees for photocopying, printing, faxing, and laminating. As a non-profit organization, these fees are charged to help defray the cost of supplying these services to the community of Fort St John and Areas B and C of the Peace River Regional District.
